December 26 - Comes the Dawn

Out

early,

but

not

so

advancedly

as

some,

given

the

light

traffic

anticipated

on

the

day

after

Yuletide --

to

Marin,

carefully

rendezvousing

with

Crystal (freshly back on break from her first successful summer and fall semesters at Harvard Divinity School) at Carolyn's (and there is some difficulty recognizing the domicile, what with the boat and paint-stripping taking place) for a classic, nostalgic stroll in the Crestwood /

Terra Linda -

Sleepy Hollow Divide Open Space...

despite the rain,

making it all the way to our old aerie atop Plateau Hill, the views extending to San Pedro Ridge, Central San Rafael, and Mt. Tamalpais.

We talk of everything under the sun,

or stratus (majorally) in this case,

but it's all basically sunny metaphorically (though with some poignancies),

particularly re hopes for the future:

continuing the discourse back in the car and over a very extended brunch, for a total get-together that lasts for about 5 hours.

Returning

to

the

vehicle,

for

drop-off

and

the

homeward

journey,

the

day --

like

life

in

general --

continues well,

initially through a sunny-cloudy panoply of impressive and photogenic vistas amidst the Coast Ranges,

followed by errands;

the

evening

with Harriet a related joy over

only semi-relevant videos.
