December 2 - Reflections

Yet another heavenly morning with Harriet,

decamping for a breakfast spot,

sun emerging from tormented clouds,

 like some afternoons in Pacifica,

Monty Pythonesque,

violent / violet / wonderful.

Returning home to finish the newspapers, the day is spent in more catch-up,

including pdf and new recording of Spectral Preludes: IV. Red-Orange, plus composition for Double Piano Concerto: III (4) and The Decameron - Third Day: VII. "Tedaldo Elisei Delivers the Husband of Monna Ermellina from Peril of Death" (6),

while intermittently watching

Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited (in its 2008 filmic incarnation -- definitely now interested in viewing the 1981 manifestation as well) and

Mr. Palfrey of Westminster (1985 -- Mr. Paslow?...).
